In the Van den Borrens’ house there are floor-to-ceiling books, more books than I have ever seen. I realise I can read an entire book on my own, so I sit on a chair in the kitchen and read all day long. I read books of Greek and Roman legends, and all about Ulysses and his travels to places with strange names like Majorca and Menorca.
